New residential tower due on north edge of downtown Miami

The heart of the City of Miami has been transformed by substantial urban growth, with Miami Worldcenter bringing new life to the core downtown area.

And now, a neighboring high-profile site is destined to become home to a luxury tower offering a wide array of mixed uses.

Last week a team of development partners announced the launch of Palm Tree Residences Miami.

National developer PMG and Lion Development Group, together with Eden Residential and Sterling Equities, announced the project, saying it is the first-ever Palm Tree-branded residence bringing together the unmistakable culture, community, and design sensibility of the Palm Tree Crew.

The property is northwest of the intersection of North Miami Avenue and 10th Street.

PMG Residential is representing sales, with the sales launch commencing in the first week of June ahead of the FIFA World Cup in Miami.

“Palm Tree Crew has established itself as one of the most compelling forces in global lifestyle and culture,” said Ryan Shear, managing partner at PMG.

“Their ability to cultivate community and deliver exceptional experiences translates seamlessly into the way we think about residential living in Miami. Palm Tree Residences Miami will offer residents something genuinely distinct, access to a global lifestyle defined by world-class events and experiences, paired with an uncompromising standard of quality in the way they live at home.

“We are proud to bring this vision to life in Miami, and we believe it will set a new benchmark for how people experience home,” said Mr. Shear.

It is being developed in partnership with Palm Tree Crew, a global entertainment, hospitality and investment company co-founded by music producer Kygo and Myles Shear. The 483 residences will offer a vision for modern living defined by restorative wellness, highly curated experiences, and unparalleled access to a global lifestyle emblematic of Miami, said PMG.

Palm Tree Crew’s approach to creating unforgettable experiences is seen throughout the expansive, three-level amenity collection Palm Tree Residences Miami provides, PMG said, and includes:

■A signature Palm Tree Crew venue at the ground level will offer dining and nightlife with live experiences amidst a music-infused atmosphere.

■The rooftop sky deck features an infinity-edge pool cascading toward downtown, a hot tub, a private indoor lounge with an outdoor terrace, and indoor and outdoor bars.

■An outdoor padel court, a fitness center, functional training turf, a climbing wall, a wellness center with private treatment rooms, cold plunge pools, and saunas, and a dedicated yoga studio with his-and-hers locker rooms.

Other amenities are to include an arrival lobby and reception lounge, a juice bar, a golf simulator, bike storage, and high-energy, Palm Tree house cruiser bikes.

“Palm Tree Residences Miami is a natural extension of everything we stand for, building spaces where culture is lived every day and community forms organically,” said Palm Tree Crew CEO & co-founder Myles Shear.

“Miami was the only choice for our first residences. It is a city that embraces originality, celebrates life at every turn, and has always been home to concepts that push boundaries,” he said.

The new tower was designed by Kobi Karp Architecture & Interior Design.

The collection of furnished and finished residences ranges from junior suites and junior suites with dens to one-bedroom plus den, two-bedroom, and three-bedroom floorplans.

Each residence will include custom kitchen cabinetry by Italian design house Italkraft, an integrated Miele appliance package, custom bathroom cabinetry and countertops, modern spa-inspired bathroom fixtures, and fully built-out closets.

“Capturing the essence of Miami’s passion for entertainment, energy, and first-time experiences within a residential setting is no small feat,” said Michael Simkins, president and CEO of Lion Development Group, “but I cannot think of a more well-equipped team of forward-thinking minds to marry the two concepts together than the partners behind Palm Tree Residences Miami.”

Todd Katz, partner at Sterling Equities, said, “We believe that Palm Tree Residences Miami will be a game-changing project for the area. Its unique pairing of expert hospitality, and a lifestyle, driven primarily by one’s passion for music, that elevates expectations for Miami’s next great era of real estate.”
