Julio Silva is the top-transacting Latino mortgage originator in South Florida, according to the annual Top 250 ranking from the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals.
Silva, an agent with CrossCountry Mortgage, handled 231 transactions last year with a volume of nearly $136 million.
All told, NAHREP’s Top 250 represents 40 states and Puerto Rico. Men make up 61% of the ranking, while women make up 39%. Nearly 60% have 11 or more years of experience, followed by six to 10 years at 28% and two to five years at 12%. Eighty-one percent are bilingual.
DHI Mortgage ranked as the top company in the country, with 52 loan officers in the Top 250. DHI was followed by CrossCountry Mortgage with 22, New American Funding with 14, Rate with 14 and Guild Mortgage Company with 13.
