Mattamy Homes US COO Chris Lindhorst to replace CEO Keith Bass on Sept. 1

Mattamy Homes U.S. CEO Keith Bass will retire on Sept. 1, with current COO Chris Lindhorst succeeding him in the position.

Bass joined the Tampa, Florida-based homebuilder in 2020 and has performed an integral role in Mattamy’s success since then, helping it achieve record revenues, earnings and community counts, according to an announcement.

“Keith has been an exceptional leader for Mattamy Homes U.S. during an important chapter in our company’s history,” Mattamy Vice Chair Larry Nicholson said. “Over the past six years, he has helped strengthen and expand our U.S. business while leading through extraordinary market conditions and industry change. Keith’s steady leadership, commitment to our people and focus on operational excellence have helped position the business for long-term success.”

Lindhorst joined Mattamy as COO in February. The industry veteran has more than 20 years of homebuilding leadership experience. He was with D.R. Horton for 16 years before Mattamy, most recently serving as regional president overseeing the company’s operations in Texas, Arizona and New Mexico.

“It is an honor to have the opportunity to lead Mattamy Homes U.S.,” Lindhorst said. “Keith and the broader leadership team have built a strong business with an outstanding reputation, talented people and a clear vision for the future. I am excited to work alongside our teams across the United States to build on that momentum, continue delivering for our customers and create long-term value for the business.”

Mattamy operates in 11 markets in the United States: Charlotte and Raleigh, North Carolina; Phoenix and Tucson, Arizona; Dallas; Southeast Florida; and Jacksonville, Orlando, Tampa, Sarasota, and Naples, Florida.
