Blueberry season in northern Sweden gets early start

  • The blueberry season has started early in several parts of the country — but most of this year’s blueberries are unlikely to be picked.
  • Ola Langvall, a forest researcher at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, says the season’s come about a week early in northern Sweden.
  • On average, only a few percent of all blueberries in Sweden are harvested.
