Keyes Company to move Sarasota team following acquisition of Catalist Realty

The Keyes Company’s 70-agent Sarasota team will relocate from its current office to Catalist Realty’s historic cottage office at 1630 Morrill St. following Keyes’ acquisition of Catalist, which will operate as The Catalist Group within Keyes. The Catalist team will remain in the same location.

Founded in 2018 by Broker/Owner David Crawford, Catalist focuses on markets from central Sarasota to Manatee County, as well as the Tampa/St. Petersburg market. Catalist agent Vannesa Poole, who serves on the Florida REALTORS® Board of Directors and the REALTOR® Association of Sarasota and Manatee (RASM) Board of Directors, is among the agents joining Keyes.

Following the merger, Catalist’s team will use Keyes’ partnerships with Forbes Global Properties and Leading Real Estate Companies of the World, along with the technology, services, and tools that support Keyes associates, to grow its business.

“For Keyes, these are not your typical M&A deals. It’s not about production, it’s about people,” Keyes Southwest Florida Regional Manager Barry Grooms said. “Gone are the days of looking at a company the way Wall Street does. We look at it the way Main Street does. Keyes and Catalist share the same mission, and that made this an easy union.”

Catalist donates a portion of its compensation to a nonprofit of the buyer’s or seller’s choice. The firm has donated more than $350,000 to more than 65 local 501(c)(3) organizations.

“When a company is built around giving back, you can feel it in how they treat their customers and their community,” Keyes President Christina Pappas said. “That’s what we saw in David and the Catalist team, and it’s what Keyes has stood for over the last century.”
