What was your most interesting job before going into real estate?
My most interesting job before real estate was working at a data center. I love technology and engineering, and knowing how things operate. For example, this South Florida Agent Magazine website, email, iCloud and Google all come from servers housed in data centers around the world. It was a lot of fun and very fascinating.
Where did you grow up?
I was born and raised in Southeast Florida.
Growing up, what did you want to be?
An architect.
What do you do to relax when you’re stressed?
Play with or walk my dog, Wallee, listen to spa or classical music, or float in my pool.
If you could meet any well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why?
Robin Williams was an amazing comedian, actor and human being. He could play very serious characters, like Dr. Malcolm Sayer in Awakenings or John Keating in Dead Poets Society, and extremely funny characters like Adrian Cronauer in Good Morning, Vietnam and Mork in Mork & Mindy. He had a very successful and challenging life, and it would be extraordinary to have a conversation with him and maybe get just a small glimpse of the magic that made him so remarkable but so human.
Where is South Florida’s best-kept secret?
There is a tremendous amount of art, culture and history in South Florida that I think some people are unaware of.
What do you love most about the industry?
There are many interesting and enjoyable aspects to the South Florida real estate industry, so it’s hard to pick just one. I enjoy the satisfaction of guiding and assisting people through a very significant and sometimes very personal transaction. The opportunity and constant change are also fascinating — and it’s not a bad way to make money.
What is the most difficult aspect of your job?
There are many aspects and roles involved in being a Realtor, but none of them are “difficult.” It is an extremely fun and rewarding job.
What’s your best advice for generating new leads?
Reaching out to and staying connected with the people in your network. Making calls. Sending emails and text messages. Mailers. Maintaining an interesting, informative and fun social media presence.
What are you binge-watching/reading/listening to lately?
Landman.
What’s your favorite meal in South Florida?
Hibachi. Filet, lobster and scallops are delicious, but more importantly, it’s always a fun family event.
Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in South Florida?
Wells Fargo Plaza in Boca Raton.
What’s the weirdest thing that’s ever happened to you on the job?
Nothing yet, but give me time.
What’s one thing people might be surprised to learn about you?
I have four grandchildren.
What’s your favorite vacation spot and why?
Costa Rica! I’ve toured all over the country, stayed in fabulous resorts, zip lined, rappelled down waterfalls and experienced the diverse landscape and culture. Most importantly, I’ve created lifetime memories and look forward to returning to create more.

Don’t ask me. I’m new to the industry.
